Three separate shark attacks took place on September 18th in New Smyrna Beach, FL. All the attacks involved surfers, all within about three hours of each other. Fortunately, none of the attacks were fatal, but they do serve as a reminder as to why the Volusia County surf mecca is dubbed the “shark attack capital of the world.”
